A problem with long hair in zentai suit

November 11th, 2011

I have long hair and I find it a right pain getting into my suit. I didn’t have short hair last time I wore a zentai lycra and now I find I get my hair caught in the zip when doing up the back. Anyone solved this problem well? I fixed the tightness problem too. She’ll put on the cap and zip up. Her suits stretch a good deal so she can actually pull off the cap under the suit. When it’s off, I’ll just pull it out the back zip by unzipping her suit halfway down her spine. Cap comes out, zip gets closed back up! I first “twins” my hair in one long tail and places it on the side of my neck. Then pulls on the hood an places one finger right under the zipper as I zip down to prevent any ” loose” hair to get stuck.

Another method I use is almost like the wig cap. Snip a leg off a ph. Pull it over your arm, twin a ponytail, grab it as far out that you can with your ph-arm and then pull the ph over your hair, or as far as you like. Now you got a kind of “nylon tail”, depending on the length of your hair. Interesting thread, though Another concept that I might add to this in time is wearing zentai with a long beard. I’m currently growing my beard out to its maximum length, or at least I hope too. I’m currently 5 months in and its about 2.5 inches long going on 2.75″. It can be a pain when dealing with a front zip closure, but the biggest problem is afterwards and its all flat. Combing it out is impossible (well, it isn’t really but it takes awhile and there’s lots of snags). I suppose as it gets longer in the next several months, I’ll be able to tie it up like a pony-tail, or roll it up like some Sikhs and other people with really long beards do. It would probably remedy that problem, but its got to grow past the awkward stages first.

The beard doesn’t seem to impact my experience while in Zentai negatively, in fact I find it quite the opposite, It feels neat when the material presses against it and plus as my beard gets longer it makes a bulge in the bottom face part of the mask. Plus the longer beard doesn’t stick out so much. It might feel weird at first, but if a long beard is important to you as it is to me, then you’ll get used to it, and might gain a greater experience from having the long beard while wearing a suit. I wore my suit yesterday to bed with the hood up and it was a great experience. In fact it seems as the longer my beard gets the less hassle it is when trying to comb it out once I get out off the suit.

I also have a back zipping suit as well, I just don’t have it imaged. As for zipping in the front, with a short beard that’s easy. Just pull the zipper out as you zip up to make sure you don’t catch any hairs and just do it carefully. I don’t really have problems with getting either suit on with the beard, except that now that the beard is longer it tries to smother my mouth a bit and get in my nose, but moving the mask part of the suit accordingly once it is on (usually pulling the material downwards), can usually remedy this, or at least get it out of my nose. I don’t care if it covers my mouth, since I never talk while wearing the hood up anyway. It’s afterwards and combing/detangling it once the suit is off that can present a problem, at least until the beard is long enough to tie up or roll up.

Halloween costumes competition

October 28th, 2011

Does anyone have competition with your display in your neighborhoods? Not the kick your stuff over while your sleeping competition but some open that does the same. I have one but it works out for both of us. one he’s on the other side of the neighborhood and He is the everything store bought kind of guy and I’m the everything made from my hands kind of guy. so the Halloween fans get the best from both worlds. And me too I love his stuff. Just the kids who trick or treat tell me his stuffs better they get the orange and black candy nobody likes and when the kids say my stuffs better they get full candy bars.

I have a neighbor house across the street that does gore style haunt every year while we do a spooky style haunt. This was a great mix for kids but as of today she told me she is not haunting her house with us as they cant keep up with over 1000 Tots on Halloween night. The candy alone is breaking their bank. Sadly they said they are blacking out the lights and hiding in the back of the house…BOO to them. So as of this year I have no other haunts in a couple mile radials. I do have a neighbor not really competition but we both love the holiday. Unfortunately she got sick, she was operated a couple of weeks ago, don’t know if she is decorating this year. It is just me and her in our neighborhood circle. She always has stuff up before me nothing. This year in a way to me it just does not feel the same.

Every year our Tots always come to our area specifically for our houses. I too was sick, got a back injury last month and slowly, very slowly have been setting up. I think that the TOTS faces (happy/scared/terrified/crying) keeps me going. The Housing office has one for the entire base every year. I had one of the housing office reps stop by yesterday while I was painting my mausoleum stones in the driveway. (thought I was in trouble). He said he hasn’t seen too many, but we do have some competition, the biggest we have that I know of is a neighbor that has all store bought stuff and really nice stuff. Most of ours is homemade, or really old. But we both fenced our front yards out for a graveyard. I’ve been tempted to go and knock on their door and ask if they’re members on the forum. I think there is one other house in our area (not neighborhood) that does a yard haunt (I heard a rumor that the fellow may have died so the haunt may be no more).  lycra costumes

I live in Statesville, which is the west part of Ottawa. Lots of folks put out small stuff, but we go all out. However, my neighborhood is very tiny, only about 140 homes, there are no through streets, so even though we do a pretty good yard haunt, only a few people know about it. I have resisted the route of the newspapers and TV to get folks here. The other yard haunt did, and was in a huge neighborhood, so he got lots of people there. I consider my place a bit of a hidden gem. I don’t think I want it to be overrun with people or the possibility of vandalism. I have noticed a bit of craziness with some of my neighbors decorating. I’ve decorated every year regardless of where we had to move. I would have gone all out whether there was a competition or not. I love driving around the neighborhood in the evening seeing what everyone has put up, and it makes me all the more excited about the countdown till Halloween. I was hoping that the one particular neighbor was a forum member (I don’t know a lot of people and it would be awesome to have someone else to hang out with and talk Halloween)
